Emergency in Bangkok Thailand
Thai government has declared a state of emergency in Bangkok and adjoining districts. This declaration will empower the police and also allow the military to get involved. In an emergency any suspect can be detained, protests and gatherings are illegal. The protesters however aren’t phased, they seem to be saying “bring it on”. Many expats and foreigners are leaving Bangkok to nearby provinces to live out the 60 days of emergency. The protests have disrupted normal life.
