The Chinese new year is a big event in Thailand. Many shoppers are all set for the big day day after. This new year is the year of the water snake. The year of the dragon will end today. Traditionally the new year is celebrated with fervor however, the negative image of the snake may not go well with decorators and toy makers. They have been working extra hard to make the snake look cute. Although it is the year of the snake, there will be a dragon parade tomorrow. you can see some pictures from Thailand. Most malls in Bangkok, Chiangmai and even smaller towns like Phitsanulok are stocked with Chinese sweets, discounts and special promotions. Visiting Tesco, Tops or Big C tomorrow is bound to be fun, even if it was just your regular grocery buying visit.
